Let’s meet in the middle!
Lucinda makes a good point in her Wednesday, March 25 letter. Anti-Trumpers need to turn off CNN and MSNBC and tune out the left-wing propaganda machine.
Pro Trumpers need to turn off FOX News and Rush Limbaugh and turn off the right-wing propaganda machine.
I suggest we try to find a center point to meet. How about PBS or NPR?

‘Keeping us informed’
Thank you (County Press) for keeping us informed about the coronavirus. I see your breaking news stories on Facebook and find them very helpful. They scare the heck out of me, because this whole thing terrifies me but they’re very informative. I’ve only left my house about three times in the last two weeks. Keep up the good work and be safe everyone!

Whitmer for President!
Gov. Whitmer is going to make an excellent vice president and then president. Her leadership and firm resolve to get in front of COVID-19 shows she can handle great pressure and still get things done.

Impressed by governor
Every time I hear Gov. Whitmer speak I’m more impressed and glad I voted for her. People may not like being stuck at home, but the stay-at-home orders were necessary and yet so many people are still in the grocery stores. Go figure! Whitmer has exhibited focus and has stuck to a single message, unlike President Trump who contradicts himself nearly every time he talks.

Dismal federal response
This outbreak (coronavirus) demonstrates there is a need for big government, or at least a government big enough and smart enough to plan for pandemics and other large-scale disasters. This crisis has also demonstrated huge holes in our national readiness and the ability of the federal government to be in close coordination with the states. That didn’t happen and look what’s happened (or should I say did not happen) because the response has been dismal at the federal level.
