BRIDGEPORT - Police are investigating four separate shootings that left four people wounded Saturday night through early Sunday morning.
The first shooting was reported around 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of the 1700 block of East Main Street, according to Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management.
Appleby said the second shooting was reported shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Police received a call of suspicious people with firearms in the area of Lindley Street and Capitol Avenue.
Upon arrival, police came found a gunshot victim with a wound in his leg.
Appleby said police were alerted after 1:30 a.m. Sunday by Bridgeport Hospital reporting two gunshot wound victims.
ShotSpotter activations detected the shooting near Building Five at the for P.T. Barnum apartments off Bird Street in Black Rock.
The condition of the victims have not been released as of Sunday morning.
