Four more people have died from the coronavirus in South Dakota, and 103 new positive cases were reported on Saturday, according to the South Dakota Department of Health.
With 913 active cases and 7,820 recoveries, the state has now had 8,867 total positive cases. That doesn't include people who show symptoms or are asymptomatic but are not tested.
A total of 134 people have now died from COVID-19. There are currently 36 people in hospital with COVID-19, and 832 have been hospitalized in total. Of the 134 fatalities statewide, 99 have been in people 60 and older, and 56 of them have been 80 or over. There have been 14 fatalities in people under the age of 50.
Minnehaha County has been home to nearly half of all statewide cases, with 4,189 confirmed infections, followed by Pennington (818), Beadle (587), Lincoln (561) and Brown (406).
