The Recycling Market Development Board reviews grant applications from public and private businesses, local governments, schools and nonprofit organizations in Indiana. The board can approve funding between $10,000 and $500,000, with a 50% cash match.

The new members will join four returning members of the board.

Holcomb appointed Debbie Hackman, executive director of the Jackson County Recycling District; Craig Lutz, manager of municipal services for Republic Services, a private waste collection company; Andrew Nunan, senior operations manager for ERI Inc., a private recycling company; and Sandy Whitehead, director of the Dearborn County Solid Waste Management District.

Reappointed were Bruce Burrow, assistant sales manager with Rumpke Waste & Recycling Services; Matt Gratz, solid waste/recycling manager with the City of Fort Wayne; Terry Guerin, government affairs professional with Southside Landfill in Anderson; and Kelly Weger, lead service manager of sustainability with the Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
