It’s a public health crisis! • Don’t look stupid, wear a mask • Privatize mail service
Think about it!
The question I ask is this. Who in their right mind would vote for a person who is willing to destroy the U.S. Postal System in an effort to eliminate voters who might not vote for him in November? Shame on those who vote for such a person.

Read intelligence briefs
President Trump is a shameless, disgraceful man and a worse president. Every time he speaks he says something racist, stupid or ignorant of the facts. The man really needs to turn off FOX and read his own intelligence information briefings provided him every day.

Put politics aside
The best way to beat the coronavirus is to listen to the experts. Put your political bias aside, this isn’t about Trump or Whitmer it’s about a public health crisis that needs to be correctly managed.

‘Look really, really stupid’
I don’t understand the anger and hate so many people have today. I’ve seen huge arguments in stores over the stupid face mask. People, you look really, really stupid who oppose wearing a mask for a few minutes in a store. Get over yourselves and do the right thing.

Support your community
I commend the businesses in downtown Lapeer and Lapeer Optimist Club for not being cowards and are going forward with activities. Let’s live again, get outside and support this community.

Fix or scrap Postal Service
The problem with the Postal Service is they have an antiquated business model. The mail service should be privatized and maybe I’ll again get my mail on time. There’s a lot of good people trapped in a horribly run organization, but the bottom line is it’s a broken system and should be fixed or scrapped.

Recall Gov. Whitmer!
It’s time we recall Gov. Whitmer. She’s a disaster for my business and this state. She’s got to go.

Michigan has submitted an application for federal funding that would provide an additional $300 per week to Lapeer County residents receiving unemployment benefits. The additional $600 payments included in the first federal relief bill ended on July 31. The state will not be providing an additional $100 to unemployment benefits as suggested by President Trump in a recent executive order to increase unemployment payments. Should unemployment benefits be increased during COVID-19?
