BATON ROUGE - LSU swimmers Alyssa Helak, Matt Klotz, Keagan Finley, and Cameron Karkoska will graduate from LSU to close out the 2020 Summer Semester. All four will earn their degrees from LSU via a virtual graduation on Friday, August 7.

"I am proud of these four Tigers earning their degree," said LSU head swim coach Dave Geyer. "They have all had different academic stories throughout their journey here at LSU. Cameron and Alyssa are earning their degrees in just three years of attendance. Alyssa is going to take advantage of that and start her Masters' Program while finishing her eligibility. Their academic access would not be possible without the support of our great academic center and personnel."

Helak is earning her degree in Accounting from the E.J. Ourso College of Business after only three years at LSU. Helak has been a major contributor for the Tigers throughout her three years wearing the purple and gold. This past season, Helak notched ten top-five finishes in dual meet competition including two second place finishes against Delta State back in January. Against SEC foe Texas A&M, she notched two fourth place finishes. Helak swam the 100 and 200-Yard Back at the 2020 SEC Championships.

Klotz made a huge impact throughout his time in Baton Rouge. He holds the third best time in school history in the 50-Yard Free and the 200-Yard Back with times of 19.55 and 1:43.52 and the fourth best time in the 100-Yard Back with a time of 47.00. He was also a part of the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team that broke the school record at the 2020 SEC Championships. During his senior season, Klotz won a total of seven races including three wins at the SMU Invitational. At the SEC Championships, Klotz finished in fourth place in the 'B' Final of the 100-Yard Back, seventh place in the 'C' Final of the 50-Yard Free, and eighth place in the 'C' Final of the 200-Yard Back. Klotz is graduating with a degree in Sports Administration.

Karkoska closes out his LSU career on the Top-Times list in three different events. He holds the third best time in the 200-Yard Breast, the fifth best time in the 100-Yard Breast, and the sixth best time in the 200-Yard IM. Karkoska was huge for the Tigers this past season coming down the stretch and into championship season. He qualified for the 'C' Final in the 100 as well as the 200-Yard Breast at the 2020 SEC Championships and finished in first and third place. Karkoska, a California native, is graduating with a degree in Sports Administration.

Finley was a long-distance force for the Tigers throughout his time wearing the purple and gold. He holds the fifth fastest time in school history in the 1000-Yard Free with a time of 9:16.10 and the eighth fastest time in the 500-Yard Free with a time of 4:25.33. Finley was named to the SEC Community Service team in his junior and senior seasons for his outstanding work in the community. This past July, Finley was named LSU's Male Volunteer of the Year. Finley is graduating with a degree in Business.
