
OAKLAND — Four people were shot Wednesday afternoon in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 6:10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting with multiple victims after callers shared word of nearly a dozen shots heard near the 300 block of 105th Avenue in the city’s Brookfield Village neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found one male victim in the 100 block of Kerwin Avenue suffering from at least one gunshot wound, and located two other male victims nearby with wounds. All were initially conscious and breathing, police said.
Paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters also responded to the scene, providing care before taking the victims to area hospitals. Investigators who responded to the scene recovered shell casings from at least one scene.
No details were immediately available on any suspect or related vehicle. A motive has not been determined and no arrests have been made.For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $15,000 in the shooting. Police had already responded to separate shooting reports in North and East Oakland earlier Wednesday.
