
Four men were hospitalized with severe stab wounds and lacerations after a fight in Fremont escalated early Sunday night.
Fremont police said patrol officers were alerted to reports of a stabbing at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday in the 40000 block of Stockton Way. Upon arrival, officers found four men suffering from severe stab wounds and immediately provided medical care to help keep the men alive.
Medical personnel arrived shortly after and transported the victims to area trauma centers with serious and life-threatening injuries. All four victims were stabilized and expected to survive, police said Sunday.
Police said detectives found that the stabbing was likely part of an ongoing dispute, and that several of the people involved were drunk. Investigators added that one group of people confronted others who had arrived in a car before both sides armed themselves.Men from both parties were injured as a result of the fight, police added.
