Could save a life!
Our son was found to have a heart condition. Every youth should get a heart check (available at McLaren Lapeer Region by appointment). It could save their life, like it did our boy.

‘Probably saved lives’
I think of the wonderful work Mr. (Jim) Davis did whenever I drive and I see the bright yellow and red reflector strips on road signs across the county. For that alone Mr. Davis deserves even greater recognition, because they probably saved lives. Thanks for the remembrance story of a great man.

Jim Davis left county a better place
There are few people who did as much to benefit an entire county than what James Davis did. He definitely left the county a better place. As a huge recycling fanatic, I appreciate that the most — but the reflectors are a close second. It was all good.

Davis ‘a friend to agriculture’
Coming from someone in a farm family, what I appreciated most about Jim Davis was his passion to teach the younger generation about how farming was done in the early years. Few people appreciate how difficult it was. He was a friend to agriculture.

Rename historical museum to honor memory of Davis
Rest in peace Mr. Davis. You did so much for Lapeer County. They should put a statute of him in front of the historical museum or rename the building in his honor.

Touched by story
My hair stood up on my arm when I read the story about Denise Becker finding a bowl her late daughter had made (published in Sunday, Sept. 20 edition) at a rummage sale. I hope she is united with the person who had it.

‘Good and uplifting news’
Sunday’s paper. A little bit of good and uplifting news, and a beautiful story about the late great Jim Davis. He was one of a kind.

Lapeer ‘sold out’ marijuana industry
Lapeer doesn’t need any more marijuana. Six dispensaries is enough. This town is becoming a joke since it has been sold out to the marijuana industry.

Soured by fire photo
I think it’s insensitive to publish photos of house fires. Why take pleasure in someone’s worst nightmare? Show some empathy County Press.
