Four finalists have been selected to fill the town of Mount Olive’s top administrative seat.
Jammie Royall, interim town manager, is one of the finalists.
A 16-year employee of the town, Royall also handles special projects. He opted to apply for the vacant seat after he received overwhelming support from the town board, employees and residents.
“It makes me feel good that I made it to the final four. I am really flattered,” Royall said. “I feel like the whole town, or most of the town is behind me.”
Mayor Ken Talton and a selected panel will conduct interviews Tuesday and Thursday of this week. They hope to name a new town manager in November.
