A dump truck driver suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when his vehicle veered off Route 287 in Bridgewater and struck a sound barrier, according to the New Jersey State Police.
The truck was traveling northbound near milepost 17.6 when it left the road shortly before 1:30 p.m.
It tore through a guardrail and took out a section of the sound barrier.
No other vehicles were involved, police said.
Additional details, including the cause of the accident, were unavailable.
