AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 1 University of Texas Men's Swimming team swept all four events on Thursday evening during the second night of the Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invitational at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The Longhorns have won all six events over the first two nights of the four-day event.

Junior Drew Kibler claimed victory in the 500-yard freestyle in a NCAA 'A' cut time of 4:09.18. Freshman Carson Foster followed with a win in the 200-yard individual medley (1:41.98), and junior Daniel Krueger earned the title in the 50-yard freestyle. The Texas 'A' team won the 400-yard medley relay in a NCAA 'A' cut time of 3:04.64.

Meet Highlights

• Junior Drew Kibler opened Thursday's action with a win in the 500-yard freestyle in a NCAA 'A' cut time of 4:09.18. Freshman Coby Carrozza (4:14.31) took second and freshman David Johnston (4:14.38) placed third. The Longhorns had the top eight finishers in the event, and two-thru-eight recorded NCAA 'B' cut efforts.
• Freshman Carson Foster earned the victory in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 1:41.98. Sophomore Jake Foster placed second (1:42.59), and junior Andrew Koustik took third (1:45.18). Junior Halvor Borgstroem finished fourth in a NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:46.57.
• Junior Daniel Krueger won the 50-yard freestyle (19.14), while senior Alvin Jiang (19.51) took second and senior Jake Sannem (19.88) placed third. All three registered NCAA 'B' cut efforts.
• The Longhorns ended the night by claiming the top three spots in the 400-yard medley relay. The Texas 'A' quartet of senior Chris Staka, junior Charles Scheinfeld, Jiang and Krueger won the event in a NCAA 'A' cut time of 3:04.64.  UT's 'B' team of sophomore Ethan Harder, junior Andrew Couchon, freshman Zac Van Zandt and senior Luke Bowman placed second in a NCAA 'B' cut time of 3:06.56.

The Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invitational continues on Friday, Dec. 4 with prelims at 10 a.m. CT and finals at 6 p.m. CT. Due to health and safety protocols, the meet is closed to the public.
