Norwalk European contemporary with Long Island Sound views - The Advocate

Come enjoy this ultimate beachfront Norwalk home with panoramic view of Long Island Sound.

The walls of glass allow you to live, entertain, work, and relax as you watch nature step onto your deck.

Those water views are the best feature of this 2016 European contemporary, said listing agent Elaine Schanzenbach of William Raveis Real Estate.

“The view and the relaxed living; what else can you ask for,” Schanzenbach said. “It’s not just the open water, but you also have the Norwalk Island view and the harbor, and you can watch the boats come and go.”

The grey-colored home - which is about 3,000-square feet and FEMA compliant - offers two levels of living on .16-acres.

The three-car garage - which has plenty of storage - is on the first level. Schanzenbach said the homeowner will be able to park seven cars on the property.

Walk in through the front door and you will walk into the garage, where you will see a staircase. That, Schanzenbach said, is where the foyer is.

Walk up the second level, she said, and you will be greeted by the master bedrooms suite, as well as two other bedrooms and bath.

Address: 60 Harbor View Ave., Norwalk

Price: $3.099 million

Rooms: 7

Features: Fantastic water views and steps from the house to the water; living room with wood-burning European stove.

Schools: Rowayton Elementary, Roton Middle and Brien McMahon High School.

The master, Schanzenbach said, “has spectacular views that open out to the water. There is also a balcony that allows you to look at the views.” The master is at the back of the house facing the water.

The master, she said, offers a sitting area, and a large walk-in closet with beautiful cabinetry.

The huge white master bathroom has a large shower, a sunken bathtub, and counter spaces.

A laundry room and storage room are also located on the second level.

The third level - the second level of living - is home to the gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and Wolf six-burner stove plus a convection oven. There is also a stand-alone freezer.

The nearby living room has a big seating area with wood-burning European stove. There are balconies on both the second and third level with wondrous views of Long Island Sound, Schanzenbach said.

There is also a dining room on the third level with leather-padded walls.

Feel free, Schanzenbach said, “to step right on to the beach; you are right there. You can put down your kayak and go off for a swim. Just four steps and you are in the water.”

“This is a special property that is as unique as Harbor View. It’s like going to a resort with all of the amenities,” she said.

Those amenities in this private association of Harbor View include use of the clubhouse, tennis courts, and dock and playground. The association is located on a very private peninsula.

The home is close to trendy South Norwalk, as well as the train.
