The LSU Tigers’ epic 2019 season resulted in several former stars entering the 2020 NFL draft.

While quarterback Joe Burrow was the biggest name, he was far from LSU’s only rookie to be featured prominently as a rookie in the NFL. Unfortunately for Burrow, a November knee injury ended any chance of him receiving rookie honors.

The Pro Football Writers Association of America (PFWA) released its all-rookie team on Thursday, and four former Tigers received honors.

Justin Jefferson, the No. 22 overall pick, set an NFL rookie record for receiving yards with 1,400 in 2020. Jefferson wasn’t just the NFL’s top rookie receivers in 2020, but he was one of the best receivers in the entire league.

Joining Jefferson on the PFWA rookie team was center Lloyd Cushenberry of the Denver Broncos, guard Damien Lewis of the Seattle Seahawks and linebacker Patrick Queen of the Baltimore Ravens.

Cushenberry was a third-round pick in the draft and started all 16 games for the Broncos at center. He didn’t miss a snap all season.

Lewis became a stabilizing force for the Seahawks on the interior of their offensive line. He started all 16 regular-season games and Seattle’s lone playoff game.

Queen, one of four LSU players selected in the first round, looks like Baltimore’s next great linebacker.

As a rookie, Queen started all 16 games for the Ravens in 2020, finishing with 66 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception. Queen also scored a touchdown on a fumble return.
