SAN ANTONIO, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears used a four-home run night to down the UIW Cardinals 12-7 in the opening game of their Southland Conference series on Friday night at Sullivan Field.
The Bears (8-9, 5-4) pounded out 12 hits and blasted four home runs for the first time since April 2016 to win their first series opener in three tries this season. Sophomore left fielder Kolby Johnson hit his first career home run and added a two-run double to finish 2 for 5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored.
