Kevin Aguirre, 19, and Alexander Lewis, 30, tied to March 18 violence that injured four
Two Gresham men have been arrested in connection to a motel shooting earlier this month that left four people injured.
Kevin Aguirre, 19, and Alexander Lewis, 30, both of Gresham, were arrested on charges of attempted murder, burglary, robbery and unlawful use of a weapon. Aguirre was arrested Sunday, March 21, and Lewis was taken into custody Thursday, March 25.
The incident took place at 6 a.m. Thursday, March 18, when gunfire erupted in a room at the Golden Knight Motel, 750 E. Powell Blvd. The shooting was described by police as "extremely complex" because of how it spread from the motel and spilled out into the parking lot. Few witnesses were able to provide concrete details.
Four victims were shot during the incident and transported to the hospital. One has been in critical condition, two required surgery, while the fourth was treated in a trauma hospital. According to police, Aguirre also was injured by gunfire during the motel shooting.
Detectives with the East County Major Crimes team continue to investigate the circumstances around the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Gresham Police tip line at 503-618-2719 or toll free at 888-989-3505.
