Save $80 on a Beam, or $40 on a Sonos One
Sonos is the leader in smart home audio for a reason. Not only do all of its speakers work together, allowing for true whole-home audio; they also sound fantastic. The only downside is that Sonos gear is notoriously expensive, and almost never goes on sale. Outside of a few exceptions like Black Friday, your best chance to save on Sonos gear is when the brand runs one of its periodic Certified Refurb sales, one of which just kicked off.
The highlight of the sale (and one that’s almost never included in the refurb section) is the Sonos Beam sound bar for $319, down from the usual $399. In addition to doing all of the regular Sonos music streaming stuff you’d expect, the Beam can plug into your TV to act as a seriously great base for your home theater, and can even pair up with a couple of Sonos Ones, Sonos Play:1s, or even with IKEA’s less expensive Sonos collabs to create a truly wireless surround sound system that’ll knock your socks off.
Otherwise, you’ll want to check out the Sonos One, which is essentially the atomic unit of any Sonos system. It would be a perfectly good standalone speaker in an office or bedroom, but you can also pair two of them together into a stereo pair, or even use them as surround sound satellite speakers. If you’re Sonos-curious and aren’t sure where to start, just buy one of these, you’ll probably be hooked. $159 is $40 less than usual, and an exceedingly rare discount.
Whatever you buy, know that it will have been thoroughly tested, and will come with the same 1-year warranty as a brand new Sonos product.
