EKU Softball Places Four On All-OVC Team

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University softball had four players earn All-Ohio Valley Conference honors announced by the league on Wednesday morning.
 
Tori Peterson, Zoe Mihalicz and Sammi Miller earned All-OVC first team honors. Junior infielder Carly Robinson was named to the All-OVC second team.  
 
Peterson, a senior, is 16-5 on the season with a 2.27 ERA. Peterson's 16 overall wins and 12 OVC wins ranks second in the league and she ranks in the top 10 in the league in innings pitched, appearances, games started and shutouts.
 
Mihalicz is fourth on the team with a .297 batting average, six doubles, five home runs, 24 RBIs and started every game behind the plate this season. In OVC play, Mihalicz is hitting .348 with four doubles, four home runs and 16 RBIs.  
 
Miller has a team-best .426 batting average with 13 doubles, three triples, four home run and 23 RBIs on the year. She leads the team with 16 stolen bases. She ranks first in the conference in hits and runs scored. Miller ranks second in the league in doubles and walks and top-10 in the league in triples, stolen bases, total bases, on base percentage, and slugging percentage.
 
Robinson is batting .322, with six doubles, a team-best eight home runs and 37 RBIs on the season. She ranks in the top-10 in the OVC in home runs, runs batted in, and walks. In conference play, Robinson is hitting .325 with five doubles, six home runs and 26 RBIs.
 
Eastern hits the field tomorrow when it opens the OVC Tournament against Austin Peay at 6 p.m. ET. The game will air on ESPN+.
