Four Passengers Hurt in Van Crash near Rochester - KROC-AM

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Four people were transported to St. Mary's hospital following a single-vehicle crash northeast of Rochester.

The State Patrol says a full-size van was traveling north on Highway 42 when it left the road and crashed into the right ditch. The crash occurred around 7 AM two miles north of the intersection with Olmsted County Road 9 in Viola Township.

All five occupants of the van are from Little Rock Arkansas. The driver, 22-year-old Noe Perez Cruz was not hurt, but his four passengers were all taken to the hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. They ranged in age from 19 to 26 years old and were not wearing seatbelts. The driver was seatbelted and was also offered protection from injury by the vehicle's airbag.
