NORMAN – Tyler Hardman was named to the All-Big 12 First Team, as the Oklahoma baseball team placed three members on the All-Big 12 first or second teams, the conference office announced Monday. Selections were made by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Hardman earned first-team All-Big 12 honors for the first time. Pitcher Jason Ruffcorn and third baseman Peyton Graham were named to the All-Big 12 Second Team while outfielder/designated hitter Jace Bohrofen was a Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection.

Hardman, a fourth-year junior, leads the Big 12 in batting average (.403), hits (87), total bases (146) and doubles (19; tied), and ranks among the conference leaders in slugging (.676; third), on-base percentage (.488; third), RBIs (49; seventh), home runs (12; eighth) and runs scored (49; 10th). He has started all 53 games and registered at least one hit in 46 games, multiple hits in 28 contests and multiple RBIs 15 times this season. A semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, Hardman ranks second nationally in hits and leads the nation in total bases.

In 24 Big 12 conference games, the Corona, Calif., product led the league in hitting (.388), hits (40) and doubles (10; tied). Nine of his 12 homers and 29 of his RBIs came during conference play (both second-most in the league). He was named Big 12 Player of the Week after hitting for the cycle on March 14 and amid a reached-base streak of 16 consecutive plate appearances.

A fifth-year senior, Ruffcorn has posted a 4-1 record and earned three saves over 20 appearances this season. He has struck out 66 batters over his 49.2 innings and held opponents to a .198 batting average. The Cedar Park, Texas, product has pitched at least 6.0 innings over his last four outings, including two starts, and notched 31 strikeouts over 26 frames during that span. He was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on May 3 after striking out 10 batters over 6.2 relief innings in a win over Oklahoma State. Ruffcorn also earned All-Big 12 second-team recognition in 2019.

Graham, a second-year freshman, has made 51 starts at third base and registered 11 home runs and 10 doubles while scoring 46 runs and hitting .280 for the season. Batting primarily in the leadoff spot, he had registered 26 RBIs and is tied for the team lead with seven stolen bases. The Waxahachie, Texas, native notched seven home runs, four doubles, 14 RBIs and 23 runs scored in Big 12 conference play.

Bohrofen, a true freshman from Oklahoma City, has played in 33 games and made 27 starts this season, totaling 18 RBIs, 14 runs scored and nine extra base hits while batting .268. In Big 12 conference play, he made 16 starts and registered two doubles, one triple, a home run, six RBIs and six runs scored. In the month of May (11 games, 10 starts), Bohrofen has batted .333 and scored six runs.

Second baseman Conor McKenna, shortstop Brandon Zaragoza and outfielder/designated hitter Brett Squires earned honorable mention recognition.

McKenna, a fifth-year senior from Carlsbad, Calif., has started 50 games at second base and is batting .314 with 12 home runs, 11 doubles, 48 RBIs and 42 runs scored. In Big 12 play, he hit .314 with five homers, five doubles, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. His 12 home runs and 48 RBIs both rank eighth in the conference.

Zaragoza, a fifth-year senior shortstop, has started all 53 games this season and made 235 consecutive starts in his career. The Moore, Okla., product has played in more games (248) and registered more starts (246) than any player in Oklahoma baseball history. This season, he has notched career-highs of 37 RBIs and nine doubles, hit his first career home run and has batted .263 and scored 28 runs. His six sacrifice flies lead the Big 12 and rank 21st nationally.

Squires, a Grapevine, Texas, product, has played in 40 games and made 32 starts this season, batting .283 with a team-high 13 doubles.
