OAKLAND — Police were responding to an East Oakland neighborhood after reports of at least four people shot, authorities said.
Shortly before 9:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity in the 5100 block of Ygnacio Avenue in the city’s Fremont neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds near the location.
Officers provided them with life-saving care until firefighters and paramedics responded and took those victims to an area hospital. At least one person was initially listed in critical condition, but the other victims’ conditions were not available Sunday night.
Other officers cordoned off the area to recover evidence, including surveillance video. Investigators did not immediately share any suspect or vehicle description.
For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $20,000 in the shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at 510-777-8572.
