RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. — Rensselaer County and Stewart’s Shops will be teaming up for four vaccination clinics at Stewart’s locations in the coming weeks, Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin and Stewart’s President Gary Dake announced.
The four locations are located across the county and will help ensure residents have convenient and ready access to vaccinations during the summer.
The county has utilized new methods of providing vaccines, including the launch of the Vax Bus, a mobile vaccination clinic at summer concerts, community events and Tri-City ValleyCats games, and other pop-up clinic events. The county is also offering vaccinations at clinics at the Health Department offices at various times during the week.
“Rensselaer County is committed to making COVID-19 vaccinations available and accessible to all, and we appreciate Stewart’s partnering with the county for these four clinics. Stewart’s is frequented by so many residents during their daily lives, so we expect these clinics will be welcomed by many,” McLaughlin said.
“We are proudly partnering with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to the general public in four of our Rensselaer County shops. We’re doing everything we can to help ensure the health and safety of all our customers and partners and believe that getting a vaccine is the best thing we can do to protect one another,” Dake noted.
