MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders return to the 'Boro on Sunday for the first game of a four-game homestand as they host the Evansville Purple Aces on Sunday, Aug. 29 for a 1 p.m. matchup at Dean A Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.

After scoring a brace against the Ole Miss Rebels, senior Peyton DePriest regained a one-goal lead over Santa Clara's Kelsey Turnbow as the NCAA D-I active leader in career goals scored with 49 over her five-year career.
 
DePriest's 49 career goals tied the C-USA all-time record for career goals scored on Thursday, set by Marquette's Kelly Roethe from 1996-99.
 
Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee Soccer is led by DePriest, who has scored three goals for the Blue Raiders over the team's first three contests. Junior Cambell Kivisto scored the Blue Raiders other goal this season in their season-opener against the Belmont Bruins.
 
Senior Miya Lennon has recorded the Blue Raiders only assist so far this season, earning it on a throw in to DePriest for MT's second goal against the Rebels on Thursday.
 
Junior Hannah Suder has played all 290 minutes in goal for the Blue Raiders, tallying 12 saves and allowing five goals this season.
 
Scouting the Purple Aces
Evansville is in its 2nd straight season and 5th season overall under head coach Chris Pfau. As the head coach at Evansville, Pfau has collected a 34-25-8 record and led the Rebels to four NCAA tournament appearances.
 
The Purple Aces are coming off a 1-0 win over Morehead State and have a 2-0-1 record entering Sunday's contest.
 
Evansville is led by Emily Ormson and Emilie Hill, who have both netted a pair of goals and tallied four points this season. Ormson also leads the Purple Aces in shots with nine and shots on goal with six through three games. Monique Landrum scored the Purple Aces other goal this season and Nicole Benati has dished out a team-leading two assists this season.
 
The Purple Aces have used all three of their keepers in goal this season, with Lauren Fischer playing a team-leading 110 minutes. However, Michaela Till has recorded a team-high five saves while allowing no goals so far this season.
 
Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders fell in their first match of the season on Thursday, dropping a 4-2 contest against SEC foe Ole Miss. Middle Tennessee fell behind early as the Rebels struck in the 4th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. The Blue Raiders responded in the 33rd minute as DePriest collected a blocked shot that hit the post to net the second chance shot and even the contest at one apiece. With 30 seconds remaining in the opening half, the Rebels' Channing Foster netted a goal off a throw in to give Ole Miss the 2-1 lead at halftime. The Blue Raiders struck quick to open the second half as DePriest scored her second goal of the contest and her 49th career goal, tying the C-USA record for career goals scored and bringing the match back even at two. However, the Rebels eventually broke away in the 62nd minute and 74th minute to eventually bring the game to its final, 4-2.

Series History
Sunday's contest between marks the seventh meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Evansville Purple Aces. Middle Tennessee Soccer holds a 5-1-0 all-time series lead over the Purple Aces. In Murfreesboro, the Blue Raiders lead Evansville 2-1-0, while remaining unbeaten, 3-0-0, for contests in Evansville. Middle Tennessee Soccer has outscored Evansville by eight goals through the pair's six contests, and in their last meeting, the Blue Raiders earned a 5-1 road victory in Evansville, Indiana. Middle Tennessee is currently on a two-game winning streak over the Purple Aces.
