The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have gotten big plays from Jake Mangum, Luis Carpio, Yoel Romero and the Northeast’s pitcher of the week, Joey Butto.
The Rumble Ponies bounced back, with a 5-2 victory on Wednesday, after being blown out in the opening series to Portland,
The Ponies (41-49) are three and a half games behind third place New Hampshire in the North East Division with 28 games left in the season.
The road series against Portland was rained out last night and is rescheduled as part of a four game weekend at Haddock Field.
Cole Gordon will be on the mound for Binghamton and Brayan Bello will start for Portland, tonight, first pitch at 6pm
Tomorrow will feature a double header with the first game at 5pm followed by the Thursday night rain out make good.
Sunday the team will finish out the series with a 1pm matinee.
These four weekend games are important, because the Rumble Ponies travel to New Hampshire to take on the third place Fisher Cats in a crucial divisional match up next Tuesday.
