Atlanta Falcons should sign one of these five receivers in week four - Blogging Dirty

The Atlanta Falcons’ lack of depth at the receiver position came back to hurt them on Sunday with Russell Gage and Frank Darby both out.  This left Tajae Sharpe and Christian Blake as Atlanta’s primary options behind their two remaining starters.

Hardly the options you want if your offense is going to remain competitive. Sharpe managed to catch one pass while Blake was a non-factor on Sunday.

Calvin Ridley caught 8-passes for only 61-receiving yards, not the type of yardage you want from your number one receiver. Atlanta needs help at the position and to give Ridley another player who can take a bit of the attention off of him.

The Atlanta Falcons need to address the receiver position before their week four matchup against Washington

For Atlanta, week four is going to be a very interesting game. One in which they will face a struggling Washington defense, adding a receiver gives Atlanta a chance in this game. With the rough start they have gotten off to being .500 after week four would be an accomplishment.

Russell Gage may not be out for much longer, but for Atlanta, it shouldn’t matter. If Ridley were to go down who could step up and provide Ryan a chance? So far that hasn’t been Kyle Pitts and until it is Atlanta needs another answer.

Adblock test (Why?)
