A four-star running back from the Class of 2022 will make his college commitment live Wednesday on CBS Sports HQ at 6:30 p.m. ET. George Pettaway of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, Virginia, will announce his choice from a list of finalists that includes Florida, North Carolina, Oregon and Penn State. The Tar Heels are considered the favorite to land Pettaway, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Pettaway ranks as the No. 98 prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2022 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. The 5-foot-11 back ran for 14 touchdowns in 2020 and averaged 13.7 yards per carry, according to MaxPreps stats.
He's off to an even more prolific start this year. Through four games, Pettaway is averaging 17.4 yards per carry and has racked up 11 touchdowns. He's also accumulated 203 yards receiving for a 3-1 team. Here is the full scouting report on Pettaway from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn:

All four of Pettaway's finalists have top-15 classes in the 2022 cycle, so landing this talented running back will only bolster an already impressive group as we head towards the early signing period in December.
