Syracuse, N.Y. --For most college football programs, achieving a .500 record and becoming bowl-eligible is the bare minimum to consider a season successful.
This is especially true in the Power-Five, where programs enjoy a resource advantage over smaller schools and can traditionally build their non-conference schedules up in order to give themselves the best chance to reach the postseason.
