HOUSTON – A stretch of four-straight home games and five out of six commences on Monday when the HBU men's basketball team hosts Southwestern Adventist in Sharp Gym at 7:00 p.m. Husky fans can catch all the action on the Husky Sports Network broadcast with Garrett Jones on play-by-play, available at HBUHuskies.com.
 
The Huskies (1-4) have played four of their first five games this season away from home but will now go nearly a full month before playing another game on the road. HBU is shooting 36.4 percent (39-of-107) from three-point range while holding opponents to 33.3 percent (36-of-108). The Huskies also own a plus-three rebounding margin against a schedule that has included two Big 12 and one SEC team. HBU is also averaging 11 offensive rebounds per game.
 
In HBU's last game at Oklahoma, the team led 27-22 at the half before ultimately falling by a 57-40 margin. Senior forward Zion Tordoff has his best game as a Husky, finishing with 11 points and five rebounds while sophomore Za-Ontay Boothman pulled down a career-high seven rebounds.
 
Southwestern Adventist (2-4) comes into the game having most recently defeated the Paul Quinn JV 71-61. The Knights are led by freshman Alain Aviles, who is averaging 13 points per game, while senior Miles Meredith is second with 11.8 ppg. Meredith is also the team's top rebounder, averaging 6.8 boards per outing.
 
The Huskies own an 8-0 all-time record against the Knights with the last meeting coming on Feb. 25, 2002. HBU won that game 112-67.
 
James Sears Bryant Head Men's Basketball Coach Ron Cottrell is nearing his 500th career victory, just two wins away. Cottrell, HBU's all-time winningest coach, owns a career record of 498-455.
 
Oral Roberts is up next following Monday's game, coming to Sharp Gym for a Saturday, Dec. 4, battle with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
