NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara men's basketball head coach Greg Paulus has announced four signees. Donovan Hill, Shane Lancaster. Bryce Moore and Harlan Obioha have signed their National Letters of Intent.
"We welcome Donovan, Shane, Bryce, Harlan and their families to the Niagara basketball program," said Paulus. "The four of them are consistent with their belief and appreciation in the opportunity at Niagara University."
Donovan Hill | Forward | 6-foot-8 | 210 Lbs. | Harrisburg, PA | Central Dauphin High School
Hill joins the Purple Eagles from Central Dauphin High School in Pennsylvania. Hill averages 14.0 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game and his team were Mid-Penn champions in both 2020 and 2021. Hill, who is a team captain, was named to the All-Mid Penn Commonwealth Team in 2021 and has been awarded the Best Teammate Award. He competes at the club level with WeR1 and won a championship with that team in 2020.
"Donovan was the first to commit in this class," Paulus said. "His understanding of how to play, his skillset for his size and his ability to communicate with his teammates allow him to be impactful on both ends of the court."
Shane Lancaster | Guard | 6-foot-4 | 195 Lbs. | Bowie, MD | St. John's College High School
Lancaster comes to Monteagle Ridge from St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., which is one of the best high schools in the country. Lancaster serves as a captain for his high school team. He also excels in the classroom and is an honor roll with distinction student.
"Shane is a hard-nosed, tough, two-way player," said Paulus. "His leadership and ability to make winning plays will lift his teammates."
Bryce Moore | Guard | 6-foot-4 |176 Lbs. | Round Lake, IL | Carmel Catholic High School
Moore joins the Purple Eagles from Carmel Catholic High School, where he averages 12.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists per game. His team were regional champions in 2018-19. Moore, who serves as a team captain, was selected to the 2019-20 Lake County All-Area Team and to the 2020-21 ESCC All-Area Team.
"Bryce is an athletic and versatile player," Paulus said. "He knows how to play and can guard multiple positions. He takes pride in making his teammates better."
Harlan Obioha | Forward | 7-foot-0 | 280 Lbs. | Hoxie, KS | Hoxie High School
Obioha joins NU after a decorated high school career at Hoxie High School in Kansas. Obioha averages 28.0 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game and 4.0 assists per game and surpassed 1,000 career points during his senior season. He is a two-time First Team All-MCL honoree and following his junior season was a First Team All-State selection and was runner-up for 2A Player of the Year. His most recent accolades include being named the 2A Player of the Year and being the runner-up for Kansas Player of the Year. Obioha's high school team were league champions his sophomore and senior seasons.
"Harlan has a strong presence and shares his passion for the game of basketball with his teammates," said Paulus. "His size and versatility will bring a different dynamic to our team."
