HICKORY, N.C. - On a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon, Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball finished off an impressive weekend with a 10-3 win over No. 14 Goldey-Beacom to wrap up the four-game sweep of the Lightning. The Bears scored 41 runs in four games, and struck out 58 Lightning batters on the mound in the sweep. LR finishes the week 5-0 at home and moves to 8-1 on the season.

"Really happy with how we played this weekend," said head coach Chris Ramirez. "That is a really good Goldey-Beacom team that's going to win a lot of games this year, and to handle them the way we did was impressive. We never lost focus the whole weekend and the results showed that. Proud of the guys and their effort."
