PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Track & Field team competed at UW-Platteville on Friday. Leland Malyk, Max Nuckles, Payton Meinholz, and Sam Hennick each recorded personal best times at the UW-Platteville Invitational. Bett Cox also ran for the Eagles at the Cal State LA Twilight Open.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leland Malyk led four Eagles in the 200-meter dash, posting a personal best time of 24.24. Payton Meinholz was next to cross the line, with a time of 25.60. Another personal record came from Sam Hennick, with a time of 26.21. Kadin Wojcik rounded out the Eagles performances with a 26.70.
- In the 800-meter run Blaine Springer posted a 1:58.99, just one second off his personal best and good for sixth place. Alexander Krause (2:05.99), Zach Heckman (2:09.22), and Quinton Gordon (2:41.49) also ran in the event.
- Wojcik also competed in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 58.40, while Hennick notched his second personal-best of the day with a 1:01.02.
- In the 1,500-meter run Craig Seger led three Eagles across the line, posting a time of 4:44.69. Sebastian Kams Bingham (4:53.28) and Gordon (5:34.49) rounded out the pack.
- Brett Cox competed at the Cal State LA Twilight Open among and posted a 16:30.93, good for 20th place.
- Five Eagles competed in the 100-meter dash prelims, where three Eagles posted personal records. Leland Malyk (12.00), Max Nuckles (12.33), and Payton Meinholz (12.54) each recorded personal bests.
- Edgewood College had two groups of Eagles in the 4x400-meter relay. Krause, Seger, Springer, and Heckman ran a 3:36.64, while the team of Malyk, Wojcik, Meinholz, and Hennick crossed the line in 4:02.87.

- Edgewood College will head to Wisconsin Lutheran College next Saturday for the Green & White Invite. The meet will take place at Raabe Stadium in Wauwatosa, Wis.
